“NO MORE GAMES”

She said she was tired of the games,

So I bought her a Range,

She always said that she regretted taking my last name,

…….Because of all the pain,

Somehow some things have gotta change,

These placebos only last for a short time frame,

And the shame leads to more rain,

……..And less gains,

On our shirts are remnants of the immense tears cried leaving water stains,

All that is left is to leave out the door from which we came,

Wordless, voiceless from love we now refrain,

We must be insane,

See let me explain,

We keep doing the same things over and over expecting a massive overhaul or change,

It just seems so strange,

For so many years the feelings and emotions we’ve exchanged,

Signs were in clear view – simple and plain,

So many things we tried to rearrange,

Still in the end it came out the same,

See our problems still remained,

Plummeting stock invested souls interchanged,

Changed mind frames,

Better days, better times, better emotions we always aimed,

I say we because we are both to blame,

No way either of us saw us turning into what we’ve became,

Blood is on fire and hearts are inflamed,

Every word was said with and ended in a point exclaimed,

Some sense of dignity we hope to now reclaim,

End the war games,

You took back your surname,

Quickly to our own corners we acclaimed,

Since life is full of strategy…….I just wanted to pitch with you a perfect game.
