I showed you my passion,
I gave you my love,
I’d give you my last if it would be enough,
We fumbled through life,
Stumbling the whole way through,
If tomorrow did not come always know that I would still choose you,
Intolerable actions and hurt from family feuds,
Seeking shelter from words fired like bullets,
Heartless miscues,
My endearment your heart and love in your touch,
How you always stood by me even in the face of fire that burned you so much,
To reconstruct,
A life that is misunderstood,
to cry in the face of laughter…..
You know me, and know that I don’t think I could,
The struggles that we faced, I now face alone,
I pass many buildings and structures filled with families who know home,
All the while pictures of us I scroll through at every stoplight on my phone,
This life has taken on a whole new meaning,
A whole new tone,
All the beatings [some self-inflicted], internal bleeding, crying out, the needing,
Advice from the wise, yet from me the less heeding,
These are my confessions and to my soul I am conceding,
So tired of your lies,
So tired of your cheating,
What I see in your eyes…..
Is no longer food to my hunger – I am done with your lack of nourishment and proper feeding,
This life has been misleading,
On my knees begging for forgiveness……
All this begging and pleading,
You need to look in the mirror and start forgiving yourself for yourself there is no leaving,
With self start believing,
Then you will reach new heights – overachieving,
I gave you my passion,
I hope it is worth reading,
I showed you my love,
Time will tell if it is or ever was,
Soul clenching, heart wrenching, without the completeness of an us,
Trust.
