Dear Lord,
I can remember the very moment when we first touched eyes,
Our hearts sang, at least mine did, as the rain dropped from the sky,
It was a cold day, yet to never return,
Now makes it a warm memory that I’ll always yearn,
I could have walked a million miles to have found you,
Your touch, your care, your love, have only been seen in passing view,
To have experienced the one thing in life and then have to let it go,
The one thing that defines life, beginning future between man and wife
-love for me just wasn’t so,
I can always review our times in memory, but none will ever be the same,
You see you left me here in this cold, wet, painfully
DECEMBER RAIN,
For me God sent me one of his truest Angels in human form,
She guided me thru for years- through many of lifes toughest storms,
When I failed she showed me love, when I was lost she showed me promise, when I fell she showed me care,
And when I had fear and doubt she gave me the affection of her heart without despair,
YOU SEE………………
I knew from the beginning that I couldn’t and wouldn’t have her forever,
For she was sent from heaven with other lives to save, love to share, and freedom to flap her feathers,
Although I know I’ll miss her more than anything else,
At least she taught me that love is something you value with your life, once you find true love for yourself,
So as the storm passes and I recall that I’ve vowed many times to never love again,
I hope and pray for a future return of December Rain where she forever stays and blesses me with her love until we meet
my sweet Angel,
