“DO U REMEMBER?”
Couldn’t remember the last time that I kissed your lips,
Or felt the warmth of your body against mine, with the simultaneous movement from our hips,
So many days have gone by, that they have now become years,
I’ve become known as the utmost gentleman, but left alone to face my fears,
If I told you, would you understand? The lonely need for a companion as a single man,
No one person, two, or three,
Can combine to equal the amount of lonely days in comparison to me,
I couldn’t remember the last time because it’s been so long,
Not a hug or a kiss, not a walk in the warm spring rain for romantic conversation,
I remember “Sleepless Lonely Nights” after an argument, fuss, and fight,
I remember being so anxious to see you the next day,
So much thrill and anticipation was in me when you’d come my way,
I remember your treasure’s colliding with mine, the beginning of something new, something unknown of, something undefined,
I cannot help to remember all of the good times we have had, but now those times are gone and have become a thing of the past,
I couldn’t remember the last time we touched,
Or left each other without a passionate embrace of love instilled so much,
I wonder if I ever cross your mind, ever at all?
I wonder if you reminisce on things we did and begin to miss – thru summer, winter, spring, and fall,
Do you remember because it’s been so long, and now I truly believe,
I believe that those who are meant are destined, and will be.
