You’ve been running from me since I was small,
But now I’ve grown up and everything has evolved,
Over me you have always crawled,
And I have always known you were above all,
I’ve seen your power- you tower and must be 1000000 feet tall,
When I’m hurt or down my problems you dissolve,
No matter what on you I can always call,
I’ve learned with you that the higher the climb sometimes the deeper the fall,
Till the day we walk down the aisle where wedding bells ring and fill the halls,
I take pictures of you to revisit, reminisce, to never forget and always recall,
Every crease, every scent, every touch, every memory on my heart you’ve flawlessly scrawled,
Without you I don’t have the wherewithal,
For you I will conquer any and walk through all walls,
You are the necessary protocol,
Always in the moment, sober, and attentive no need for additives, sedatives – no alcohol,
Without you I go through withdrawal,
You are the drug, the season, the reason, my above and overall,
My true love and basketball,
Every snapshot of you I’m enthralled,
When I’m alone in my room sometimes I stare at the wall…..
I want to capture you love and give back all you have given and taken and simply re-install.
I need love.
