YOU COULD NOT WALK A MILE IN MY SHOES AND CARRY ALL THIS PAIN,
WATCHING YOUR LOVE ONES DIE IN A MASSIVE FLAME,
MANY SHOTS TO THE BODY FRAME,
HOW DOES ONE CONTINUE TO LIVE AND SURVIVE WITH THESE MOTION PICTURES CONSTANTLY PLAYING IN HIS BRAIN,
HOW AM I ABLE TO MAINTAIN?
EVERY OUNCE OF MY BEING IS IN IMMENSE STRAIN,
DON’T TRY TO CALM ME, OR SOOTH ME, PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO KEEP MY FEELINGS CONTAINED,
LET ME DEAL WITH THIS ON MY OWN EVEN IF IT MEANS THAT I WILL GO INSANE,
EVEN IF IT MEANS THAT I COULD POSSIBLY BLOW OUT MY OWN BRAINS,
THE BLOOD ON THE CARPET IS BETTER THAN THE IMAGES IN MY EYES THAT ARE FOREVER STAINED,
I’VE BEEN RUNNING ALL MY LIFE SO I DON’T KNOW WHO IS TO BLAME,
COPS SHOT MY FATHER DOWN THE MOMENT INTO THIS WORLD THAT I CAME,
DOCTORS STEADILY ASKING MY MOMS WHAT IS HIS NAME?
SO HEARTBROKEN SHE WAS THAT SHE COULD ONLY GIVE ME HIS FIRST AND LAST THE SAME,
LIFE IS NO JOKE SIMPLE AND PLAIN,
LESSONS I LEARNED ON MY OWN WITH NO ONE TO SEE ME THROUGH, GUIDE ME THROUGH ALL THIS DRIVING POURING RAIN,
CANNOT PUT ME IN THE SAME CATEGORY BECAUSE WE WERE NOT GROWN FROM THE SAME GRAINS,
YOUR STRUGGLE IS NOT MY STRUGGLE – NO MAN’S PATH IS THE SAME.
