“SHOWER COUNTED TEARS”

EVER TRIED TO COUNT YOUR TEARS AS THEY FALL?

I CAN COUNT MINE ONE BY ONE AS THEY DROP AND STREAM DOWN THE TILES ON THE WALL,

I CAN SHOW YOU EACH AS THEY DRIP DOWN MY FACE,

ALL THE WHILE BY THE STREAMING WATER THEY ARE CHASED,

AS MY EYES CLOSE I STILL CAN SEE THE REFLECTION OF YOUR FACE,

EMBEDDED IN MY MIND AND MY HEART JUST CONTINUES TO BEAT AT UNREALISTIC RATES,

PUDDLES ARE NOW FORMING AND YOU’D THINK THEY WERE FROM THE SHOWER, BUT INSTEAD,

THEY ARE ALL OF MY TEARS FLOODING THE BATHROOM FLOOR EACH ONE ACCOUNTED FOR – 1 BILLION 24 HAVE BEEN COUNTED,

INSTRUMENTALLY EACH TEAR THAT I HAVE SHED,

INDIVIDUALLY EACH ONE LEAVES AN EVEN DEEPER SCAR THAT IS EMBEDDED IN MY HEAD,

A TIMELINE OF SORTS SO WHEN I AM FINALLY AWAY FROM THIS MOMENT AND AHEAD,

I AM ALWAYS ABLE TO BE HUMBLED AND REMEMBER WHEN MY TEARS FIRST STARTED,

I CRY ALONE WITHIN THE CONFINES OF THESE 3 WALLS AND ONE GLASS DOOR

THE INTENSITY INCREASES AS THE TEARS FLOW HARDER AND FASTER THERE ARE NOW 4 BILLION MORE,

IN THE SHOWER  I STAND BROKEN- HEARTED WITH YOUR VOICE IN MY EARS,

NO ONE CAN EVER HEAR ME AS I COVER  EACH SOB AS I BREAK WITH EVERY TEAR,

ALONE ALWAYS IS THE ONLY TIME I FALL APART,

THIS IS A NIGHTLY OCCURRENCE SO TOMORROW ALL OVER AGAIN IN THE SHOWER IS WHERE MY TEARS WILL START.
